In his struggle to create himself, this ancient relic remains unfazed in his task well after spontaneous internal combustion has begun. In my work as a mason, and as an artist, I often find myself so focused that I am oblivious to basic human needs for significant periods of time. I served as the model for this piece. I looked quite ridiculous sitting against the wall, in my underwear, with simulated body parts (cut off sections of sweat pants stuffed with cotton) strewn about the room. I am actually pulling on a needle and thread, but not threaded through my actual leg :)
