Here's a view of the outside of the huge mosque of Hassan II in Casablanca. It is build on a huge emplacement above the water of the Atlantic Ocean. At night there are two laserbeams shining from the top of the minaret (height 200 m.) over a distance of 35 km's in the direction of Mekka. The building was completed in 1993. There is room for about 100.000 people to pray or listen to preaches. Inside the building there is a theological university, conference rooms, specialised libraries, a national museum and so called hammams (bathing establishments). There is also an underground parking garage
