In Roman Myth, Artemis's counterpart was Diana, The Goddess of the Hunt-and in this image she is surrounded with select few of the items and animals She is associated with.(With Some Artistic license--the idea of being associated with the Mysterious, and Secretive Druids and their magical ways.) Artemis/Diana (goddess of the Wild Hunt) protected woodlands and forests, and was associated with the mysterious phases and aspects of the Moon. Original work was created in pencil on 20# white copy paper 8.1/2" x 10.1/2", then inked for shadows and details; before being completed in Rich, Deep Colored Pencil. Artist signature and date of completion (as well as Artist original icon of Authentic original image are included on artwork) image is currently unmatted, but in future will be available for sale.
