Boat by The Street, Whitstable

Just east of the harbour on Whitstable's shore is a long shingle spit that, at low tide, extends a kilometre northwards out to sea. It has been nicknamed 'The Street' as it is a popular walking spot. Just visible on the horizon are the Maunsell forts. See blog for info on these wartime relics. www.petergander.blogspot.com
