The trader has brought a crystal from a chandelier to the Indians to trade for furs. They have never seen this magic rock...that makes colored lights. They are amazed and not quite sure what to think. This photograph was taken in South Dakota inside a tipi. The younger man closest to the trader is in reality who made every single thing you see in his tipi, and did everything the old way.

VERY REALISTIC, EXCEPT FOR THE INDIAN ON THE LEFT OF THE TRADER. THE HAND GESTURE SEEMS OUT OF PLACE. ALSO, I THINK THE FOCUS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE FUR TRADER, BECAUSE HE IS THE MOST POWERFUL CHARACTER IN THE SHOT.Maureen Santina 17 Jun 2004
