a bit more action in this one. . .Spitfire LF Vb flown by Sqn Ldr Geoffrey Northcott makes a 'firing pass' at a Focke Wulf 190A-4 of JG2 over the coast of France.Northcott had a successful summer in 1943, between 27th june and 3rd November he destroyed four BF 109's (plus damaged a fifth)and three FW190's.The legendary Spitfire here is a Spit Vb a mark optimised for low altitude operations and could give any opposing type a hard tussle low down.
