Spock and McCoy

I painted this portrait of the Star Trek stars Leonard Nimoy (as the Vulcan alien; Spock) and DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy/Bones). I was greatly inspired by episode #33 'Mirror, Mirror' so much so that I decided to paint a scene from it, however I prefer 'Spock' without a beard, making this portrait a bit less recognizable as far as what episode it is, but it's still signature for its mind melt between the two, and by the uniforms (which I have also slightly painted differently from the original look). It took five weeks to paint this Adobe Illustrator painting and a lot of love and care* I used a lot of completed mesh's to create that realistical looking flesh tone variations you see here. -Enjoy This is part of a set that goes to this portrait: http://www.artwanted.com/imageview.cfm?id=1028166 Program used: Adobe Illustrator CS5 (100% vector) Star Trek © CBS Reference image, from episode "Mirror, Mirror"
