Pastels on Suede ~copywrite Tonia 2003~ I painted this during a Street festival, to attract clients into a gallery, that I was painting in front of. It worked out to be a great day, and the gallery owner bought the picture for herself.

this has to be alive because it's not memorex. I can almost see the dirt and the elephants taking a dirt bath. Great tones and the oranges bring it to life. Looks like real grass. Keep up the excellent work.Betty Schwartz 10 Jul 2004
Congrats on the sale! I, too, have had people buy works I am painting on locale. Makes one feel appreciated, does it not?!
