Tree of Wisdom

"Tree of Wisdom" 11"x17" Digital Media The owls are from a scanned image of an old pendant that I have had for years. There are three main owl that make up the "tree top," and four other owls placed in the corners, which are made hard to see using the overlay mode in CS3. The teeth are my old wisdom teeth that I had removed last year. They make up the trunk. The elephants at the bottom are a scanned image of a pendant that my grandmother gave me years ago. They are the roots, or base. The definition of wisdom has been written throughout the piece in both black, light yellow, white and blue. It frames the "tree" as well as the whole composition, thus bringing the eye into the tree. The definition of the word wisdom is repeated and placed as a mirror-image of itself.
