Shagya Arab

I did this drawing as my part of an art trade with a friend over at DA. She drew me a palomino, and asked that I draw an arab in return. This was very fun to create; I tried a new technique that stayed away from blending the pencil strokes, so it's all very liney and raw. Not sure how well that turned out - I'm usually a perfectionist when it comes to smoothness! ^_^; BTW, I love art trades, so don't be afraid to ask if you want to do a trade with me - but just bear in mind I take a long time over my pictures (perfectionism)!

Its roughness actually increases its inviting tactile feeling.

interessting shadin...but it doesnt look as an arabian...ears are too small, nose and mounth are too big, and the profile shoul be different...to be honest the eye is the only element i like...
