Dr. Albert Schweitzer (2010)

Dr. Albert Schweitzer was a French physician, originally from the region of Alsace. A talented musician and humanitarian, he chose to to then French West Africa and establish a hospital for the poor. His native land was a constant battlefield between French and Germans for decades. People from there are among the most European of European, a byproduct of they complex history.
