Friends Forever

These kittens are now almost a year old. They were comforting the bright orange kitten after we nearly lost him three times. They instinctively knew he was ill. They all have had a tough life! There are now only three kittens left out of nearly twenty four. The solid gray kitten, named Shadow, with his paw over the bright orange one, mysteriously died in October of last year, perhaps from feline leukemia. The stripped gray one, named Murphy-Blu, just died after I fought long and hard for nearly two months to save his life. He died of feline leukemia. There is a history of that horrible disease among his other siblings that died. It's so important to vaccinate your animals or you may end up losing them one day, perhaps to this horrid disease. These poor cats didn't stand a chance, as they were born to two strays that already had this disease. I still miss Murphy-Blu! I fought hard to save him and that makes it even worse! Bella, the flesh colored kitten and Halo, the bright orange kitten, are the only ones that I have left and I fear that evidentially, leukemia will claim their lives also!

Artist Reply: Thank you so much for the very nice comment, Sharon! I truly appreciate it! Yes, they were ALL sweet and so very precious! As you know, I only have two left, Halo and Bella! My neighbor's daughter has the other one.
