This picture is at least 20 years old and was my first real attempt at a detailed portrait. It is very small (the face itself is about 1 x 1.5 inches) and took a long time (with all the erasing) to draw. This drawing was a breakthrough of sorts and is very special to me. I just found it about 2 years ago among a bunch of papers. I'm surprised it survived.
