Autumn Bonsai, wire tree sculpture

Wire Tree Sculpture 16"h X 13"w X 12"d Created with 18, 20, 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. The end of each wire is then hammered flat to form the shape of a small leaf. The hundreds of leaves are hand painted in enamel paint using yellows, golds and reds to create a "fire" of Autumn colors. Two antique clay brick pieces are used to visually stabilize the tree structure into a dark green rectangular glazed ceramic container. The tree is planted into a lawn of sea sand and pebbles which are painted with India ink to give the appearance of moss covered earth. #5-07 $ 1,750
