Original artwork 11" x 14" - colored pencil on white Canson paper - Similar to "Fabric of Harmony" or "Spirit Sunrise," I've employed a sharp, exaggerated lighting and flat shadows to mimic more of a panel or patchwork effect in this drawing. I elected not to use faux stitching so as not to take away from the already interesting patterns of the corn and pheasant feathers, allowing individual areas to more or less "float" on the paper. This is just an attempt to envision a different combination of crafts, sewing and the drawn image, to add interest beyond just the illusion of 3D. Not sure it's everyone's "bag" but it was a fun attempt! Hope you enjoy it!
