This sketch was for a model for my first bronze sculpture which was sold to Mountain Woodcarvers in Branson, Missouri in 1980. The drawing is framed and in the home of the family of physicist and explorer Ralph von Frese (National Geographic "The Great Dying").

What I like the most on this art work is the contrast in style between the animal and the rocks. It makes it special to look at. Both are very bautiful!

Artist Reply: Thank you Anneke! Yes I have a view of rocks and vegetation as abstract and some of the works I sometimes make have a bit of an architectural landscape appearance as a result. I get bored rendering too many details is probably the reason
