I love lavender fields, how wonderful they smell! It's really special to see it still green, most painters paint them in full bloom, but it's very nice to have a view on the landscape too. This wonderful painting reminds very much of Van Gogh's beautiful work.

Artist Reply: Thank you Anneke! I love lavender and took some photos at the Lavender festival last spring. We were in a drought, so it wasn't blooming as well as it could have been- but David made my photo into this beautiful painting. I'm so happy you like it! Cathy
