I'll Take The Bullet

I was asked two very interesting questions and these are my answers: 1.) What are you going to do if the draft comes? -Well, first of all I support the war with Iraq not because of the politics behind it or my patriotism, but because of my Philantropy. I remember in Jr. High when we were learning about the holocaust someone asked the teacher, "How is it, that we knew Hitler's mass executions but didn't stop it? How's come the people didn't stand up and stop it?" Fifty years from now I fear that the newer generatons will raise their hands and ask, "How is it, that we knew about Saddam's Mass executions but argued about it? How's come we didn't stand up for those people and how's come they couldn't stand up for themselves?" They couldn't stand up for themselves because of decades of brainwashing and fear, we didn't want to help them because they're not Americans, thus they're not our problem. That's the beautiful thing about Children, they don't see the country people are from, they don't see the skin colors, the different religions, the different cultures...They only see people, people suffering from years of torture and opression. To put it more simply, I come from a family or warriors who have proudly searved this country when it has asked and sometimes when it hadn't. I do not want to fight, thus I will not inlist. However, if my country knocks on my door and asks for help in return for the years it has protected my family and it's rights then I would also proudly bare the banner and put my life on the line. 2.) What if it was one of your loved ones? What if it was your boyfriend? -I would be depressed and I would hate to see them fight, however, I would still be proud of them. And if anything happened to them on the battlefield, then Iraq would know no fury then my pain's retribution. P.S.=I would like to pay a special thanks to all the soilder's who choose to fight without being asked. I tip my hat off to those who are a far better person then myself.
