First in a set of bookmarks (I hope!) The idea was to gryphon-ify some common Hong Kong birds (s'where I live), and put them on bookmarks. This is an Oriental Magpie Robin (Copsychus saularis) - they're pretty common, and beautiful birds, too! Some experimentation on *cough* nonexistent backgrounds *cough* here, as well as tree bark and feather detail. Detail shot of the gryph: click here This was a FUN painting to do!
