Kentucky Royalty

This commissioned piece was done for the daughter of the First Kentucky Derby Queen. She was queen in 1936 and is still alive and well today at 96. I had the pleasure of meeting her in August 2009 just before I started the portrait. It is done with PanPastel and Diane Townsend pastels on Strathmore 500 series vellum.
