oh this is fantastic work, Bruce.

Artist Reply: Dear Jamie, What a wonderful thing to say! I was not sure that people would like it, but people seem to find it exciting, as I had hoped. So thank you so much, and I hope you come back again. Peace, etc., Bruce

I see beautiful horses standing together. Wonderful The colours in your mind are wonderful, Bruce!

Artist Reply: Dear old ubiquitous Anneke. Your comment really disappointed me, like an almost groom waiting excitedly for his bride. But she fails to appear and he waits on in vain all afternoon on the church steps long after everyone else has left, and still no bride comes! I had expected that you would point out at least a dozen suggested creatures in the painting, and not a one except the obvious horses. I never know what you are going to do, except that every one of the unpredictable diverse paintings that you make is wonderful as Spring and Fall put together! So, thank you for your past comments and all your own beautiful paintings. You know that even if you wanted to come back and try your imagination again, ArtWanted will only let you comment once! So all I can think of is to make a blog listing and explaining the many and various creatures you found suggested to you. I feel that you owe it to share with the other painters, who also missed out on your explication. Okay. Meanwhile, for everyone who saw the horses, I cannot refrain from quoting this poem, which I had in mind and can't help feeling when I look at the painting. It has been a favorite of mine for 50 years. I hope that you enjoy it, and I hope the lines work! Just in case I added slashes where the lines are meant ot end. Peace, etc., Bruce The Blessing by James Wright Just off the highway to Rochester, Minnesota, / Twilight bounds softly forth on the grass. / And the eyes of those two Indian ponies / Darken with kindness. / They have come gladly out of the willows / To welcome my friend and me. / We step over the barbed wire int the pasture / Where they have been grazing all day, alone. / They ripple tensely, they can hardly contain their happiness / That we have come. / They bow shyly as wet swans. They love each other. / There is no loneliness like theirs. / At home once more, they begin munching the young tufts of spring in the darkness. / I would like to hold the slenderer one in my arms, / For she has walked over to me /
