the dune Raaabjerg mile

this giant dune travels over the land started from the westcoast and is slowly moving to the eastcoast covering everything in its way, and on the other end reveals things it covered long time ago

In this photo the dune is circling the small stream or pond...? Is that water I see in the center??

Artist Reply: this is the backside (windside of the dune) and this is what it is revealing, it is water not a stream more like a inlake, it is only dry sand that blows away, read more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A5bjerg_Mile
