Old Twillingate Lighthouse Complex

I painted this picture of the Twillingate lighthouse. My uncle was the lighthouse keeper here when I was young. My cousins and I spent many hours playing Barbies in the light when it wasn't on. We never played in the long tunnel to the fog horn building though because we never knew when the horn would come on and the noise was so-o-o-o loud. You can see the play house and outhouse in the yard. it's next to the chicken coop. We hunted for eggs for our breakfast most mornings. The lighthouse is automated now and the grounds have changed since this picture. Tours still go on but I has painted the picture that I carry in my heart. Twillingate is mom's Birth place
