Oh, Nira! How charming and graceful! Sublime and refined and perfect for this talented, unselfishly giving artist. How appropriate that the lovely photo of Anneke and her two "buddies" should beam at us from the heart of a heart. Your conception and construction, Nira, are just perfect, the colors just right for her skin. And after a long and pleasant time here before it, I think I've figured out finally an important element in my feeling of such depth here. For it seems to me as if I am looking at, around, into a three-three dimensional view through an open window. It's amazing! But I didn't at first notice the nearly imperceptible frame around the perimeter and set out a little from the thin bright frame so close to Anneke and buddies. And so Nira, I cannot adequately express to you and to everyone how happy it makes me feel that you have made such a wonderful tribute for so deserving a person (and of course including her kittie companions!). So that reading your comments here, and under Anneke's many other beautiful paintings, feels like really a wonderful large human family bound and related by a mutual commitment to create beauty for our universe, each of us dedicated to pursuing in our own particular ways and means our rainbow ideals, ever-leading us, no matter how much we progress, ever forcing upon us the realization that we must accept the trials of the journey of learning our craft, and when we can gladly -- even joyfully -- understand that we have chosen such a path ourselves, can admit to our selves gracefully, that we never really did believe that "we were chasing rainbows" really hoping to catch one for a pot of gold, not any more than we expect to catch the beautiful creatures of nature, or the rain, or rivers, or tempestuous ocean waves, sunlight, moonlight, . . . any and all of the wondrous elusive diverse spiritual energies of peace and beauty that most of us cannot give up trying as hard as we can to learn to ways to re-invent them in our earthly fashion. I am sure that Anneke has reached that graceful and peaceful state -- just look deeply into her photographed eyes! -- and I know that many of you artists, my new colleagues, my sisters and brothers seeking to create artistic truth and beauty, which poet John Keats taught us, are joys forever. Okay, I was on my way to saying I sense that many of you have reached that peaceful accepting attitude, which perhaps in some other “walks of life” is known as wisdom. And I am so grateful to be working among you – grateful that human refinement of “cyber space” allows us from all over the world to be together, studying each other’s works as if in the same room. And I believe that today Anneke Hut is receiving a well-earned and deserved tribute for her own artistic and human accomplishments, high among which is her demonstrating and sharing gladly with all of us anything material, artistic, or spiritual which she has to offer. And that’s a lot! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Anneke! Peace, etc., Bruce
