I grew up in this bar, my Parents owned it in the 80's until it closed, my brother and I went to school at North Ward Elementary. If you went there Im sure you knew Don and Angie. I remember when they got this image made for shirts and hats etc. My older sister still has one of the shirts with this on it.

The Bell Bar on 4th St just north of 9th Ave N. Great place in the early 70's. Lots of cool hippie chicks to take home. Fifty cent draft beer, Allman Bros. on the juke box and old school analog pinball and air hockey. I spent many hours in this place. It was owned by Chris and Ron Mobley. After mid-seventies it eventually turned into a biker bar as did many hippie bars back then. Those were the good old days.

That was my neighborhood bar in the 70’s. Hung ping with my friends Carol Kelly and Diane. Nurses. Always enjoyed that place. Would like to but can’t remember the address?

I was there in the 70's and I kicked ass. And I kicked ass on the pool table. I even kicked the ass of one of the bikers that tried to bully me and cheat me on the pool table in August 1977.

Unkept bunch of monkeys (bikers) hung out there. Pussies dressed as bikers with fake colors. Dirt, plain and simple...

Hello! I think my grandfather might have visited there in the 80's and ran into some trouble. If anyone is available to talk about those days, I would love to know more! Debbie Dalton 304.922.0860. Thanks!

Sharon, the Bell Bar is/was an actual place. Back in the early 70's, us regulars called it "The Bell". I not only worked there but met my husband there, and learned to shoot pool. The Artist rendering is exactly just how I remember "The Bell" . Bob, I would love to purchase this piece or a copy of it

OUTSTANDING WORK, BOB. IF THIS IS A REAL PLACE, I'LL BET THAT I HAVE SEEN IT.

Artist Reply: Sharon this was a real place but yrs ago they had demolished it and had put another establishment there. Bell Bar used to be off of 4th St. N in between Round Lake and Crescent lake which is across the street from Sunken Gardens. Bell Bar was primarily a place where Bikers used to Drink and brawl. The Biker Gang called The Outlaws used that place as their water hole. I had drank in that bar many times when I was young and crazy and not married yet.
