The Conductor

The air is still; all the birds cease their songs and head for shelter. The sky is darkening as mean red clouds roll closer and closer... The rain begins to fall- a soft patter at first, swiftly becoming a torrent of water pounding leaves to the ground. A crackle of lightning spotlights a figure, easily confused with the clouds at first...But the closer this figure flies, the bolder the lightning gets...Now scales and talons can be distinguished...A stormy black dragon! He is the Conductor, a maestro of natural storms, deciding when and where to throw his next bolt... The dice he holds in his tail are seemingly random, I know, but it's just my way of reminding everyone that you cannot gamble with Mother Nature...or Dragons. This is an original 18" x 24" x 1" acrylic painting on stretched canvas. Sides are painted black. Full signature, title, and date are on the back of the painting, and I have initialed it on the front. (watermark does not appear on the original painting)
