this is a view from my window. In the morning the light plays on the tips of the leaves and runs up the bark like a squirrel insearch of a playmate. The background was done in differnt colors of ink..an experiment. the top layer was done in acrylics. I was trying to give the foreground more force and decided an opaque medium was better than the vague effect of the ink. I am pleased with the effect. The background is faded out and diffused; exactly the way it looks in reality. It is done on board with a 2 inch frame out painted in charleston green (almost black for those of you who don't live in south carolina!) hahahah..
