The Deflowering of Miss Daisy

Ah poor Daisy ... in the original sketch I had a hand and a garden trowel being responsible for the deflowering of Daisy but it didn't seem to fit the mood of the painting. It had a erie otherworldness to it. and as it got closer to completion, I realized that the caterpiller was there. subliminally and expressly for the desired purpose. So He became the defiler of Daisy with a few strokes of my brush. Flowers fear the inchworm of lust.

This is cool! Love the background coloring and the way the dark hues bring the subject to light. Very nice.
