The film maker David Lynch refuses to give explanations for his work---he simply says "all interpretations are valid"---he infuriates me...but at the same time being left to ones own devices allows the artist to be entertained by their own work; listening to how others see it lets you see it anew as well!

I knew it was blood vessels--but it still reminds me more of the suggestion of life and growing...

Interesting symbolism. Ibis for death of the diskette? And the CD is reminiscent of the Yggdrasil tree of life? Looks good irregardless.
Artist Reply: Actually it was pretty much all unconscious. What I was saying before about how I paint something and don't figure out why for several years afterwards...this is an example of that.
Thoth makes a lot of appearances in my art, although sometimes He will give Himself a sex change before showing up. And I had not thought of the blood vessels as a tree, but looking at it again, that does make sense and gives it a whole extra meaning. Cool, thanks! :D
