A Black-Billed Magpie They are quite common in Alaska but I find them shy and curious creatures. They are hard to capture on camera but at the same time can hardly resist the urge to have a look at the shiny camera. They will hide tidbits and trinkets and bury food, but will fly at the slightest interuption. There are some that are quite vain though and holding their interest is possible for a few seconds at a time and the power of Zoom.
