Alien Seascape

I was very fortunate to have located a landscape on a mysterious planet. Nasa sent me a more technologically advanced telescope to be able to study the landscapes of many of the planets I have discovered in intergalactic space. I was stunned to view this dramatic and strangely familiar seascape covered in boulders of fascinating shapes and colors. Some of these huge rocks may have been residents that were sleeping or otherwise ignoring my presence possibly thinking I might be a a destructive intruder threatening their survival in this pristine and exotic small island. I heard a story about an earthlike planet that is is covered with shallow oceans dotted with archipelagos of small islands. The winds blow constantly and can achieve velocities of up to 300 kilometers per hour particularily in the warmer months. The oceans freeze in winter and the inhabitants move over the icy surface of their planet by wind-skating. Broad, membranous wings stretch from their hips to their arms, spreading as their arms are lifted to catch the wind. In his scholarly book Icerigger, Dr. Alan Dean Foster has referred to these creatures as Tranies , the males possesing a compelling interest in cross dressing without the stigma that exists in other cultures. They have three-toed feet that have carving claws that act as skates, and can be retracted upward to allow them to walk on land. A single claw on the Tranie’s heel acts as a break. Many groups of this species live a nomadic like existence, moving in a horde across their planet and descending on the settled islanders to demand goods and food. Also, this is their only opportunity to shop and buy glamorous head dresses and other female attire including designer fashions from Armani, Versache, Dior, Gucci and Vera Wang. It is rumored that Tranies traveled to Earth during New York’s fashion week during which new collections are unveiled. This species prefers to abduct courtier fashions rather than the women who wear them. I want to add that when I spoke with Dr. Foster, I told him that one of the two moons was visible shedding just enough light to allow a cosmic sheen that spread over the landscape. I learned that the moon may be a planet in this remote galaxy. Now that I have a more powerful hubbel telescope to continue my journeys through intergalactic space, I will share with all of you my new discoveries.
