First, I sketched the grandson of a friend of mine. I asked him to smile, but he just looked at me with this serious look on his face, with his Dad's cap upon his head. I created this combined digital painting and digital drawing of the boy from the sketch. I used the Paint program on my computer. I titled this artwork: "Looking At You" to convey how intensely the boy is looking at you- the viewer.
