"Inspired by the reading of Patricia Cornwell's 'Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper Case Closed', I thought a dark scene of a London alley could be interesting. I really feel the 'looseness' of the brush strokes not only brings a feeling of the filth, but also the confusion & uncertainty of the time.
