The Prophetic Indictment

From Genesis 3:14,15. God speaks to Satan “..and I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heel." The pronouncement informs Satan of God's plan to break His own rules of biology. 4000 years in the future, the seed of the woman is demonstrated by the virgin birth of the final redeemer Jesus the Christ. However, the seed of the woman is often elevated beyond its purpose into worship in and of itself along with unscriptural doctrine traditions of "original sin". Satan's influence is subtle which is why New Testament themes (and much of the Old) focus upon redemption and discernment. While sympathy for the Devil is stupid, respect for his presence is certainly not.
