This is the fourth of a series of acrylic paintings based on the life/inspiration/suffering of Bernadette Soubirous, Saint Bernadette of Lourdes. The dimensions of the painting are 9 x 12 inches. I'm using the Olmec head as a compositional technique to heighten the viewer's sense of intimacy with Bernadette.
