The Weasel and the Magpie

This is a shot of a short tailed weasel that was chasing this Magpie everywhere. He would run straight for the Magpie which in turn would fly up and the weasel would leap up trying to catch him. I would of like to have shot this at eye level instead of from above. But the Ranger was pretty adamant about us staying in the staging area because of the bears nearby. This weasel soon tried of playing and started running up and down the stairways to the tower. Quite a cute little fellow. Not the prettiest of backgrounds but sometimes you have to just capture(document) what you can in Nature and how often do you capture a weasel in mid air trying to catch a magpie?

Cute, interesting shot. Come on, Gary! A real photographer wouldn't mind getting mauled by a bear! : )
