Hodges House -COMMISSION

Visit my website: www.maria-mills.artistwebsites.com This was a commission. Taken from a 2" x 3" black and white photo the son of the woman who was raised in this house had. He was thrilled with the results and I watched him tear up as he saw the painting for the first time.

This one is beautifal Maria, As is all your portfolio

Artist Reply: Thank you Frank! I've just taken a look at yours and all I can say is that it makes me smile and therefore, feel good! Your County Cricket reminds me of the Jamaican cane cutters who used to come to the US to work during the sugar cane season and on any Sunday afternoon you could find them playing cricket, dressed in all white, it was great to watch! I love your work.

breathtaking - maskes you want to go there!

Artist Reply: Thank you very much Susan. This was a toughy! I had a 2" x 3" black and white photo taken about 40 years ago, but my client actually teared up when I gave it to him. It was the house where his Mother grew up and it's no longer there. Talk about rewarding! Right?
