Deer and Eagle

This rock art was incised or pecked into rock with stone tools by Native Americans who lived and fished for salmon along the Columber River Gorge in Oregon and Washington. This particular rock art (or rock writing) panel was moved prior to the building of a dam which flooded the area it originally was located. Image copyright Cher Peterson. All rights reserved.
