Hey John - this dog is cool - love the cartoon look and the flattening of space in this pic - regarding the critique and technique over in the forum, it's a photoshop technique - I long ago gave up my brushes and paints to perform my illustrations using digital media. I lifted the dog from the background so he could reside safely on his own layer and then did the shading on the background to create the effect your other commenter had suggested. Neither PhotoShop nor the computer does the art work - they function like other tools an artist might use - sort of like an electronic brush and storage system, so the image wasn't computer generated - the changes were Chas Generated using the digital means as tools - makes it fun and much faster for my commercial deadlines - pop over to my portfolio for more examples - meanwhile keep up the good work - I like the "presence" in your work - real bewdy ~:0)
