Original artist sculpture. This piece is a skull that has been constructed entirely out of pages from the books of Genesis & Revelations. The skull is a representation of the decline of the church, and the end of zealotry. It is symbolic of the nature of death in relation to God. Many times death is used to instill fear, or often times it is used to force ideals. The idea of the skull originated from old religious paintings depicting the crucifixion, where the skull was symbolic of the remains of Adam. Christ was supposedly crucified on the hill where Adam was buried. Dimensions: 4.5in. x 6in. x 4in Media: Pages from the books of Genesis and Revelations, acrylic paint, gloss, scotch tape
