Evergreen Oak

We have lots of these trees along the promonade here. They have acorn-like nuts and leaves that turn from bright green when newly opened to almost black olive. They are sometimes called 'Evergreen Oak' and sometimes 'Holm Oak' but are, in fact, a holly, or Ilex. I've chosen to take a small sprig here. 8x10 inches. Coloured pencil on white cartridge paper.
