With the weather warming up over here in Australia I wanted to paint a mermaid with a summery feel. I love turquoise it is one of my favourite colours and it seems to go well with pink. It is the first time in a long time that I knew what colours would suit the artwork from the moment I had the sketch done, and that is a rare blessing as I usually find picking colours the hardest part.
