This fairy is just as tall as my hand and not visible for most people (visitors of my site excepted ^__~).
The strands of hair are supposed to remind one of rootage a bit. I intentionally choose peculiar colours like pink, mint and light green to give her a iridescent look, like the shimmer of nacre or a soap bubble. I painted tiny dots with opaque white as a sort of glitter or morning dew.^^
"50 MANGA BABES to draw and paint" is an English How-to-draw book displaying fifty artworks of different women in manga style together with step-by-step illustrations, detailed descriptions and drawing tips.
I had the wonderful commission to draw fifteen of this "babes" (see the right column). I had to comply with this criteria: drawn in manga style, female chara, view of the whole body, related to a topic/character type, no background.
This book is great and I can recommend it to all learning to draw in manga style. It's available at Amazon.
