Bucking Hay

I don't know where the term "Bucking Hay" originates... that's just what it's always been called... But I do know it's always hot, sticky, sweaty, dirty hard work... and after you load one wagon... you go back and get another... until it's all picked up and done.

Where can I buy a print of this?

The simplicity (low on the details) of the image emphasizes the human experience in this. You can actually SEE the Heat and effort that goes into this job. (I grew up in Cabot, Vermont where we were out-numbered by cows 1000 to 1 (town where Cabot cheese originates) and I have done my fair share of heaving hay bales onto tractors (back when I was young and foolish). Great image I give it a 10

Yes, I remember it was exactly the same when I was a kid, now it's all done by machines, I think. I love your painting, it has just that right sunny atmosphere.
