These statues were once images of "Patron Saints" that were destroyed by the "Turks" during the "Ottoman Empire". These "Patron Saints" are celebrated by all "Serbian" families, it is called "Slava" which means "Celebration". Actually it means a lot more than just that but I'm getting cramps in my fingers from typing.
