This piece was made using a pippette - which are mainly used in science to measure small amounts of liquid - you basically squeeze the end and pippette will suck up the ink. You can control the ink quite well, and can also flood large areas to get more random marks. I then used a brush and water to bleed the ink further and aply light washes. This methhod works well when you work fast, this piece took about ten minutes.

That's a great idea, to use a pippette!! I remember we used a little hose with a mouthpiece on it in the lab, with your method you could even almost 'draw' with the pippette that way. Anyway no matter how you did it, it brought up a marvellous piece of art, Andrew!

Artist Reply: Thanks for the comments really appreciated yes I used the pippete to draw the image - Hope you try it out for your self!
