Looks like some kind of aphid bug, it's so ugly it's cute, looks big like your cucumbers..maybe thats why he is so green, been eating your cucumbers.....lol

Geoff, really «ugly» animal... But a nice shot! It is an orthopterous insect (green coloured and having a very bad smell!.. ). We have them also, here, in Portugal!!!
