We were at a late 18th century farm in Ohio. This gentleman was making toys for everyone on a foot pedaled lathe. Two people sat facing him and pedalled the lathe on what were reminiscent of paddle boat pedals to turn it. He made all kinds of wonderful toys. This was a top.
