Dresden: The Frauenkirche rebuilt (2008)

After its total destruction in 1945, Dresden rose from the ashes. The Frauenkirche was left as a pile of bricks, which my wife and I visited in 1981. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, a movement began to rebuilt the church, which was completed some years later. This is a contemporary picture of new downtown Dresden.

I continue to admire your strong use of color and powerful sense of composition. This is unmistakably your work and I love it for that.
