Fiona, I really like this piece, the eyes are the first thing one sees, taking away all the other stuff (shadows, lines etc.)makes for a powerful portrait, especially framed by the heavier hair and the right upturned shoulder, she seems so vulnerable, hiding in that hair, I love it! *suzi

Artist Reply: Thanks Emily - a little strange that a six year old photo inspired this look, but if you drain all the colour out of a photo you get a pop art effect and a somewhat older looking Gabrielle - maybe this is her as a teenager LOL!
